Leaves have fragrant lemon scent. Height 2-4' Spread12-18" Uses: Leaves lend gentle lemon-ish flavor to puddings, soups, stuffing, punch, and other summer drinks. Pleasant garnish for fish and shellfish. Brew leaves to make excellent mild tea, which acts as gentle sedative. Like angelica, can replace some of sugar in fruit pies. Propagating: Harvest when seeds are dried and brown. Sow tiny seeds indoors in spring. Thin established seedlings to 2" apart. When they are about 4" tall, plant in garden 1' apart. Set out nursery-grown plants in mid-spring.
