Bachelor Button - (Centaurea)

Plant type : Annual (But often re-seeds itself)

Description:  Flowers may be blue, pink, rose, white or maroon. Likes full sun and rich soil. Will grow to 2½' tall.

Uses: Use in middle of flower bed, not used for a background plant, however a little larger than marigolds or petunias

Propagating: Sow seeds in fall when heads have turned brown and petals have fallen off. Seeds of parachute type resemble aster seeds. Sow seeds in  late fall for spring bloom.
